Belfast Love Music

Jason Derulo

finds his ‘It Girl’ in Belfast.

The Watcha’ Say singer was due to perform in the city back in 2012 but an accident during rehearsals that led to him suffering a fractured neck meant he had to cancel his tour in order to recover.

With former JLS star Aston Merrygold warming the crowd up with a mix of his solo tracks and a well-received rendition of Drake’s Hotline Bling, Derulo was arriving to an excited crowd who knew they were in for a great night of music.

The star’s Everything is 4 show kicked off with a four minute countdown, which only increased the excitement among the arena audience, before the US singer stormed on stage to start with his 2014 hit Trumpets.

He told the crowd: “Belfast, this has been a long journey and I’m not just talking about planes, trains and automobiles. But I wouldn’t trade it for the world because in this moment right here I would like to thank each and every one of y’all for coming out tonight and I promise you we have got a special show ahead of us.”

Derulo kept his promise with high energy performances, and he started as he meant to go on with his backup dancers and live band adding to the spectacular renditions of the singer’s best known hits, including Wiggle, Talk Dirty, Ridin’ Solo, and I Only Miss You When I’m Breathing.
